In 2019 I was named Capture Magazine’s Australasia’s Emerging Wedding Photographer of the Year.
I’ve never chased trends or tried to replicate what everyone else is shooting. My approach has always been to document what I actually see – the light, the emotion, the quiet moments between the big ones. Getting recognised for that specifically felt like validation of something I’d always believed but rarely said out loud.
If you’re an aspiring wedding photographer reading this, trust your vision. Build your own path. The industry has enough people chasing the same shot.
